Managing Your Watchlist

A watchlist tracks investments you are interested in but may not own. Ezana lets you build several watchlists, each organized around an idea, and they can hold stocks, crypto, commodities, and even members of Congress. Your Dashboard shows one of them at a glance.

Step-by-step

Open Watchlist from the navigation bar.
Click the button next to My Watchlist to create a new watchlist.
Give it a name, and optionally a color and description.
Add items: pick the type (stock, crypto, commodity, or politician) and search or type each one.
Tick Notify me on major price moves (±5%) if you want alerts, then save.

How it works

The page’s asset menu lets you browse Stocks, Bond ETFs, Commodities, Politicians, and Crypto, and add any of them with Add to Watchlist.
The sidebar dropdown switches between your watchlists.
The Dashboard’s Watchlist card shows tickers from one list; a dropdown on the card changes which.
University (organization) members see a team or council watchlist instead of a personal one.

Things to know

Price alerts fire when a ticker moves 5% or more from its previous close. The threshold is fixed, and custom target prices are not currently available.
Alerts are checked while Ezana is open in your browser, and the setting is stored in that browser.
The same ticker can appear on more than one list.

Troubleshooting

Ticker won’t add? Check the symbol. If some tickers fail, Ezana tells you how many were added and why the rest were not.
Alert never fired? Make sure alerts were ticked for that list and that Ezana was open when the move happened.
Dashboard card is empty? Create at least one watchlist with a ticker in it.

FAQ

Q: Can a ticker be on several lists?

A: Yes. Add the same symbol to as many lists as you like.

Q: Does a watchlist cost money or require a brokerage?

A: No. Watchlists and their price alerts work without any connected account.
