Reading Your Recent Transactions

2 min read

The Recent Transactions card on your Dashboard lists the trades from your Mock Portfolio, newest first, so you can confirm what you bought and sold without leaving the page. It sits in the bottom row of the Dashboard next to Total Profits and Sector Distribution.

What each row shows

  • Company: the ticker, with a letter avatar.
  • Date: the day the trade was placed.
  • Last: the latest price for that ticker, when a live quote is available.
  • Amount: the total dollar value of the trade. Buys show a plus sign in green and sells show a minus sign in red.
  • Transaction ID: a short reference that starts with #, useful when you contact support about a specific trade.

Step-by-step

  1. Select Dashboard in the navigation bar.
  2. Find the Recent Transactions card in the bottom row.
  3. Scroll inside the card to see older trades; the full list is kept in order, newest at the top.
  4. Select the arrow icon in the card header to open your trading activity.
  5. To add a row, place a trade from Trading → Mock Portfolio.

Things to know

  • The card currently shows Mock Portfolio trades only. Activity from a linked brokerage is not currently listed here; the card says “Linked account activity will appear here” instead.
  • If you have a Mock Portfolio, the Dashboard uses it even when a brokerage is also linked.
  • Latest prices refresh about once a minute while the page is open.

Troubleshooting

  • “No mock trades yet”? You have a Mock Portfolio but have not traded. Place a buy in Mock Trading and it appears here.
  • A trade is missing? Refresh the page. Confirm you placed it in the Mock Portfolio and not on your brokerage’s own site.
  • History disappeared after a reset? Resetting your Mock Portfolio starts it fresh. The reset dialog offers a CSV copy first, so save it if you want a record.
  • No Last price? A quote was not available for that ticker at the last refresh.

A: The card keeps your whole Mock Portfolio trade history since your last reset, in a scrollable list.

Q: Why is a buy shown as a positive amount?

A: The sign marks the side of the trade (buy or sell), not a profit or loss. Use Total Profits for gains and losses.
