Before you create an Ezana account, here is a plain summary of how plans and trials work, what Ezana reads from your accounts and what it can change, what other members can see about you by default, and what happens if you later decide to leave.
How it works
Plans and trial. Ezana is a paid subscription with several tiers, compared in Understanding Ezana Plans. If you have never had a subscription, checkout starts a 14-day free trial; details are in How the 14-Day Free Trial Works.
What Ezana reads. If you link a brokerage, Ezana imports holdings, balances and recent activity through Plaid or SnapTrade. Plaid links are always read-only. SnapTrade links can include trading access for brokers that support it, which you approve with your broker.
What Ezana writes. Placing orders from inside Ezana is not currently available, on either a native account or a linked broker, so Ezana does not trade or move money in your accounts today. Mock Trading uses virtual cash only.
Things to know
Your profile by default. New accounts start with a public profile, your activity shown in the community feed, and a place on the leaderboard. Your portfolio, trades, holdings and watchlist are hidden by default. Change any of these under Settings, then Profile. More in Privacy on Your Public Profile.
Opening a real brokerage account. The Ezana brokerage account is held at Alpaca Securities and needs a US Social Security number or tax ID for identity verification. Plaid bank and brokerage links are available for US institutions.
Step-by-step: deleting your account later
