Ezana has a small set of keyboard shortcuts, each tied to a specific page. There is no app-wide search or command palette today, so each shortcut works only on the page where it lives. On a Mac use ⌘ (Command); on Windows and Linux use Ctrl.
Shortcuts available now
- ⌘ / or Ctrl / in Messages: jump to the search box to search your messages and conversations. Press Esc to clear the search and leave the box.
- ⌘ K or Ctrl K in the Help Center: jump to the search box, where you can search for help or ask a question.
- ⌘ K or Ctrl K on the Team Hub Command Center (organization members): jump to the header search box.
- ⌘ Enter or Ctrl Enter in the Ezana Echo comment box: post your comment.
- ⌘ Enter or Ctrl Enter in the plain-English report bar on Datasets pages: run your request.
- Esc closes the Datasets menu in the navigation bar.
Step-by-step
- Open Community → Messages.
- Press ⌘ / (or Ctrl /).
- Type a keyword or a name.
- Select a result to open that conversation.
- Press Esc to clear the search.
Troubleshooting
- Shortcut does nothing? Make sure you are on the page it belongs to. The Messages shortcut works only in Messages.
- Browser action fires instead? Some browser extensions claim the same keys. Try disabling the extension.
- Mac or Windows? Use ⌘ on macOS and Ctrl everywhere else.
Things to know
- Standard browser shortcuts (back, forward, refresh, and find on page) work throughout the app.
- Shortcuts only fire when the page is open in the active tab, and most of them move the cursor into a search box so you can start typing straight away.
- Custom or remappable shortcuts are not currently available.
