Ezana connects to your existing investment accounts through two regulated aggregators, SnapTrade and Plaid, which together cover 1,000+ brokerages, crypto exchanges, and financial institutions. You pick your broker, and Ezana shows which provider can connect it.
How it works
- Go to Home and click + Add Portfolio.
- In the Connect your brokerage window, search for your broker. Where SnapTrade supports it, it is marked Recommended.
- Read the disclosure screen, which says whether the connection is read-only or requests trading access.
- Sign in to your broker inside the provider’s secure window. Ezana never sees your login.
- Your holdings and balances sync into Ezana.
What each provider does
- SnapTrade: brokerage-native connections to major retail brokers and crypto exchanges. Holdings sync several times a day. Where the broker allows it, SnapTrade requests trading access.
- Plaid: banks, credit unions, and investment accounts through Plaid Investments. Holdings, balances, and investment transactions are read-only and sync once a day with end-of-day data, marked with an EOD badge.
What you can do once connected
Your positions and balances feed your portfolio analytics, performance, and risk views so they reflect real accounts. Placing orders from inside Ezana, including through a trade-capable SnapTrade connection, is not currently available. See Executing Trades From Ezana for what exists today.
Don't see your broker?
Coverage expands as the aggregators add institutions. Until then you can use Importing Positions From a CSV, paper trading, and every research tool. Tell us at contact@ezana.world which broker you’d like prioritized.
Troubleshooting
- Broker listed but won’t connect? Clear any pending 2FA prompt at the broker and retry.
- Connected but no holdings? Some institutions sync balances first and positions on the next refresh. Plaid data arrives end of day.
- Duplicate or unwanted connection? A disconnect button is not currently available in the app. Revoke access from your broker’s connected-apps page, or email contact@ezana.world.
