Global Market Analysis gives you a top-down view of the world before you drill into individual stocks. Open it from Research, then Global Market Analysis. It opens full screen with two views, The Map and The Chain, plus a link to Empire Ranking & Analysis.
How it works
- The Map: an interactive world map. Turn on data layers to shade countries by economic measures (GDP, debt, wealth, billionaires) or demographic ones (population, births).
- City panels: click a financial center such as Stockholm or Montreal to see its exchange, time zone, and latest headlines.
- The Chain: a timeline of upcoming and recent economic calendar events. Open an event to request an analysis of its likely effects, and to see related prediction markets.
- ISR feed: an intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance sidebar of market-moving events.
Step-by-step
- Open Research → Global Market Analysis.
- On The Map, choose a layer from the control panel to shade the map.
- Click a country or city to open its panel and headlines.
- Switch to The Chain to review economic events on a timeline.
- Use the replay button to rerun the guided tour at any time.
What you’ll see
A world view of where economic weight and activity sit, what is happening in major financial cities, and which scheduled events could move markets. Use it to frame single-stock decisions in their wider context.
Things to know
- A sector heatmap and sector rotation tracker are not part of this page. For a market heatmap by stock, use Company Research.
- Event analyses are research aids, not forecasts.
- On a phone, the page may ask you to rotate to landscape for the map.
Troubleshooting
- Map is blank? Give it a moment to load, then refresh.
- No headlines for a city? Some cities have fewer sources; try another.
- Chain is empty? The economic calendar may still be loading.
