A partner account uses exactly the same brokerage access model as a regular Ezana account. Becoming a partner does not grant extra permissions over your linked accounts, and it does not change what Ezana can do at your brokerage.
The same two access levels
Your accounts are either read-only, meaning Ezana imports balances, holdings, and history to power your analytics, or read and write, meaning you can also place trades from inside Ezana. Which one applies depends on how the account is connected, not on whether you are a partner. The full breakdown, including the live per-brokerage capability list, is in the user guide: Brokerage Access Levels: Read-Only vs Read & Write.
How it works
- Your brokerage connections belong to your underlying Ezana account, not to the partner layer on top of it.
- When your partner application is approved, those connections carry over unchanged.
- Each connection keeps the access level it was created with: read-only for linked outside brokerages, read and write where you trade through an Ezana brokerage account.
- Partner pages such as the Partner Dashboard and Community Hub do not read or change your brokerage permissions.
What this means for your content
If you write about a trade you placed, be precise about where it happened. A trade placed through an Ezana brokerage account and a position held at a read-only linked brokerage are different claims, and the second one cannot have been executed from Ezana.
Managing your own connections
Partners manage connections in the same place as everyone else. See Managing External Brokerage Connections to review, reconnect, or revoke access. If you are bringing an existing portfolio over, Importing Your Portfolio from a Brokerage walks through it.
Things to know
- No partner-only brokerage features. There is no separate brokerage connection flow for partners.
- Your privacy settings still apply. Whether your portfolio or trades are public is controlled in Settings, then Profile, the same as for any user.
- Revoking a connection removes Ezana’s access for that account only. It does not affect your partner status, articles, or payouts.
- Payout bank accounts are separate. The bank account you add for partner payouts is not a brokerage connection and cannot be used to trade.

FAQ
Q: Does becoming a partner let Ezana trade in my linked brokerage?
A: No. A read-only connection stays read-only after approval. Only accounts connected with trading access can place orders from Ezana.
Q: Can my followers see my holdings?
A: Only if you choose to share them, either through your profile privacy settings or by writing about them yourself.
Q: Do I need to reconnect my brokerage after approval?
A: No. Existing connections carry over as they are.
