Following lets you keep up with investors whose thinking you value. On Ezana, a friend is simply someone you follow who also follows you back, so there is no separate friend list to maintain. Following and friendships shape what you see in the Community feed.
Follow vs friend
- Follow: one-way. Click Follow on someone’s profile and their posts can appear in your feed. No approval is needed.
- Friend: mutual. When you follow each other, their posts show up in the Friends lens of the Community feed.
Step-by-step
- Open a user’s profile by clicking their name on a post, a leaderboard, or a shared link. Profile addresses end in /profile/ followed by the username.
- Click Follow in the profile header. The button changes to Following.
- To unfollow, click Following again.
- In the Community feed, switch to the Friends lens to see posts from mutual follows.
- Check the Your community card for your follower count.
Friend requests
If someone sends you a friend request, it appears in your notifications (the bell in the navbar), where you can accept or decline it. Sending a new friend request from the current Community page is not currently available. Following each other gives you the same Friends view.
Troubleshooting
- Friends lens says “No posts from friends yet”? None of the people you follow follow you back yet, or they haven’t posted.
- Follow button missing? You are on your own profile, or you are not signed in.
- Can’t find someone? Ask them for their profile link, or look for their posts in the Latest lens.
- Want to mute without unfollowing? Muting is not currently available. Unfollow to remove their posts from your follow-based views.

Q: Will someone know I unfollowed them?
A: We don’t send a notification when you unfollow, though their follower count drops by one.
Q: Is there a follower limit?
A: There is no cap on how many people you follow or who follow you.
