Money you earn as an Ezana partner is generally income, and you are responsible for any taxes on it. This article explains where to find your real earnings records in the app and how to keep them organized at year end. It is not tax advice.
Where to find your earnings
- Settings, then Payouts is the source of truth. It shows your Pending balance, your Lifetime paid total, and a Payout history table with the date, earning period, status, and amount of each payout.
- The Partner Dashboard has Commission Breakdown and Payout History panels, but these currently show sample figures. Do not use them for your records.
Step-by-step
- Open Settings → Payouts.
- In Payout history, add up the payouts with a paid status whose dates fall in the tax year.
- Note the earning period for each payout. A period that ends in December may be paid in January.
- Match each payout to the deposits in your bank account.
- Keep a copy of these records with your tax documents.
- Talk to a tax professional about how to report the income where you live.
Things to know
- Tax forms. Collecting tax forms and issuing year-end tax documents in the app is not currently available. Email partners@ezana.world if you need an earnings statement.
- Payout timing. Payouts run monthly, on the 1st business day, so a payout date can land in a different month from the period it covers.
- Copy-trade income. None yet. Copy trading has not launched.
- Security. Only the last four digits of your bank account are stored.
Troubleshooting
- Totals do not match the dashboard. Use Settings, then Payouts. The dashboard figures are samples.
- Payout history is empty. Your first payout appears after your first earning period closes.
