How Copiers Are Attributed to You

2 min read

A copier is attributed to you through a copy request that you approve. Every copy relationship on Ezana starts when another member sends a request from your profile, and it only counts as an active copier once you accept it. Today these relationships record who is following your strategy and feed your reputation score; they do not replicate trades into the copier’s account.

How it works

  1. A member opens your profile and clicks Request to Copy, optionally with a short message. The button then shows Request Pending for them.
  2. You get a notification that they want to copy your portfolio, and the request appears in your copy-request inbox in Community.
  3. You approve or reject it. The requester can also withdraw it while it is pending.
  4. On approval, an active copy relationship is created between you and that member, and they are notified.
  5. Either of you can stop the relationship later. It then stops counting toward your active copiers.

What counts toward you

  • Every request received adds 5 to your ELO rating, up to 500 per calendar year, whether or not you approve it. It also adds to your lifetime copy-request count.
  • Active copiers are scored monthly. For the prior month you earn 20 ELO per active copier, plus 10 per copier if your monthly performance score was positive, or minus 5 per copier if it fell below -2. Positive awards from active copiers are capped at 500 per year.
  • The same monthly run updates each copier’s view of how your portfolio performed.

Things to know

  • To send a request, a member’s account must be at least 7 days old and they must have passed at least one course.
  • A member can request to copy the same person only once every 30 days, and cannot copy themselves.
  • Copy relationships are not trade replication. Copy-trading commissions are not live yet; see Copy Trading Roadmap.
  • Copier counts shown on the Partner Dashboard are not yet tied to these relationships. Your inbox and active copy list in Community are the source of truth.

FAQ

Q: Does a rejected request still count?

A: It counts toward your lifetime request total and the per-request ELO award, but it never becomes an active copier.

Q: If a copier stops partway through a month, do I lose credit?

A: The monthly run counts relationships that overlapped the prior month, so a copier active for part of it is included.

Q: Can I remove a copier?

A: Yes. Either side can stop an active copy relationship.
