Ezana Echo readers come for original, well-sourced analysis. These guidelines are what the editorial team checks every submission against. Following them is the fastest route to approval and the best way to keep your Echo Writer status in good standing.
How it works
- Draft your article in Content Studio, then the Ezana Echo tab.
- Before you submit, run through the checklist below.
- Submit for review. Reviewers apply these same guidelines.
- If something is flagged, fix it and resubmit. Repeated violations can lead to Echo Writer status being revoked.
The guidelines
- Original analysis. Write your own take, not a rewritten news summary. Do not copy content from other publications.
- Evidence. Include data, charts, or specific examples, and cite sources when you reference statistics or studies.
- Disclosure. If you mention securities you personally hold, disclose your position clearly.
- Analysis, not advice. Do not make specific buy or sell recommendations. Explain your reasoning and let readers decide.
- Honest titles. Avoid clickbait. The title should reflect what the article actually argues.
- Length. The minimum is 100 words; 800 to 2,000 words tends to give enough room for real analysis.
Quick checklist before submitting
- Original analysis, not a rewritten news summary.

- Framed as analysis, never a specific buy or sell recommendation.

Troubleshooting
- Not sure if it’s advice? If it tells readers exactly what to buy or sell, reframe it as analysis of the case for and against.
- Reused a chart? Only use content you have rights to, and credit the source.
- Title feels like clickbait? Make it accurate and specific instead.
- Writing about a trade you made? Be precise about where it was placed, and disclose it.
