Every Team Hub member holds one of three roles: Executive, Portfolio Manager, or Analyst. Each role, and the optional sub-role inside it, comes with a default set of permissions. Supervisors can grant extra permissions to their direct reports, and organization billing runs through an Enterprise arrangement rather than a self-serve checkout.
The roles
- Executive (sub-roles: President, VP of Research, VP of Operations, Treasurer, Secretary). Manages members, events, permissions, and organization settings, views fund analytics, and can flag positions. Only executives see the Organization tab in Settings.
- Portfolio Manager (Senior PM, PM, Junior PM). Manages team tasks, uploads deliverables, views team analytics, and can flag positions. Senior PMs can also create events and approve deliverables, and Senior PMs and PMs can manage analysts and grant permissions.
- Analyst (Senior Analyst, Analyst, Junior Analyst, Quantitative Analyst). Uploads deliverables and posts to the team. Senior Analysts can also flag positions and mentor juniors, and Quantitative Analysts can run models.
How it works
- As an executive, open Settings → Organization and choose Members & Roles to see every member, filtered by team if you like.
- Use Invite & Onboarding to invite someone by email with a role and, optionally, a sub-role, team, and cohort.
- In Team Hub, open Team Permissions to see your direct reports.
- Toggle extra permissions (for example Flag positions, Send to team, or View team analytics). Role defaults show a lock and are always on.
- Executives manage Portfolio Managers; Portfolio Managers manage the analysts on their own team.
Billing
Team Hub organization management is part of the Enterprise plan, which is arranged with the sales team at enterprise@ezana.world rather than bought in the app. Self-serve seat purchases, seat counts, and prorated seat charges are not currently available in Settings. Inside an organization, the Plan and Billing tabs in Settings are visible to executives only; other members do not see them.
Troubleshooting
- No Organization tab in Settings? Executive access is required to manage the organization. Every member still gets a My role & access tab.
- A permission will not toggle? Locked items are role defaults. If the page header says View only, your role cannot grant permissions.
- Team Permissions is empty? Direct reports appear once your organization’s reporting structure is set up.
- Billing question? Ask an executive in your organization, or email enterprise@ezana.world.

FAQ
Q: Can an organization have more than one executive?
A: Yes. Roles are assigned per member, so several people can hold the Executive role with different sub-roles such as President and Treasurer.
Q: Can I remove a default permission from a role?
A: No. Role defaults are always granted. You can only add or remove the extra permissions shown as toggles.
Q: Is billing per seat?
A: Organization pricing is set with the sales team as part of the Enterprise plan. Per-seat billing controls in the app are not currently available.
